How to Export Quizlet Sets

Step 1: Export your Quizlet set as text

1. Go to Quizlet.com and log in to your account
2. Navigate to the study set you want to export
3. Click on the More menu (⋯) or Settings
4. Select Export
5. In the export dialog:
   • Choose the delimiter you prefer (Tab, Comma, or Semicolon)
   • Recommended: Use Tab delimiter for best compatibility
   • Make sure "Between term and definition" is set to your chosen delimiter
6. Copy the text or click Export to file to download
7. If you copied the text, paste it into a text editor and save as a .txt file

Step 2: Alternative - Manual Export

If the export option is not available, you can manually copy your flashcards:

1. Open your Quizlet study set
2. Create a new text file on your computer
3. For each flashcard, type the term, press Tab, then type the definition
4. Press Enter to go to the next line for the next flashcard
5. Save the file as a .txt file

Step 3: Upload and Convert

1. Go back to the main converter page
2. Click "Choose File" and select your .txt or .csv file
3. Click "Convert to CSV"
4. Once converted, you can preview the flashcards and download the CSV file

Supported Formats

• Tab-delimited (.txt): term [TAB] definition
• Comma-separated (.csv): term,definition
• Semicolon-separated (.csv): term;definition

The converter automatically detects which delimiter you're using.

Troubleshooting

• No flashcards found: Check that each line has both a term and definition separated by a delimiter (tab, comma, or semicolon)
• Incorrect parsing: Make sure you're using consistent delimiters throughout the file
• Special characters: If your terms or definitions contain commas, use tab delimiter instead
• Empty lines: Empty lines in the file are automatically skipped
